A Palestinian-American youth after completing 270 days in Israeli detention without charge has been freed.
Mohammed Ibrahim was 15 when he was arrested in February throughout the West Bank territory, where he was visiting from his Florida home accused of stone-throwing at Jewish settlers, claims he consistently denied.
American diplomatic officials applauded Mohammed's liberation.
Currently aged sixteen, required hospitalization right after being freed, relatives told the media.
They said he is pale, underweight, while battling health issues developed during imprisonment.
Through an official statement, the youth's uncle spoke of the family's "overwhelming sense of relief".
The uncle, Zeyad Kadur stated the family experienced "surviving a terrible, unending nightmare" over the last nine months.
"At this moment, our priority is getting Mohammed the immediate medical attention necessary for his recovery after being subjected to Israel's abuse and brutal treatment throughout his detention."
US officials stated they would maintain to provide consular support to Mohammed's family.
{"US government authorities gives utmost importance to ensuring the safety for United States citizens"," it added.
Twenty-seven US lawmakers had signed a letter to diplomatic officials and the White House, demanding more be done to release him.
Mohammed's parent, a father-of-four who runs an ice cream business in Florida, previously claimed his son only confessed regarding stone throwing after being assaulted by soldiers.
The father hadn't visited or spoken to Mohammed since the arrest, and only heard what had happened to him through judicial records.
The teenager remained without charge at Ofer detention facility in the West Bank.
It is also home to mature inmates, featuring prisoners sentenced regarding severe security violations and homicide.
Approximately 350 Palestinian minors in security custody detained within Israeli facilities, per correctional service statistics.
Numerous remain uncharged while advocacy organizations, and international organizations, say some have suffered physical abuse and torture.
Following Mohammed's release, Mr Kadur said they would maintain their efforts seeking justice for their relative Sayfollah Musallet.
The dual national youth per medical officials was beaten to death by Israeli settlers amid clashes in July.
During that period, the Israeli military said they were examining accounts of a Palestinian had died.
Mohammed and Sayfollah were employed together within the family's frozen treats establishment in Tampa, Florida.
No one has been charged with Sayfollah's killing.
"We demand US authorities to protect our families," family representatives emphasized.
