Barça to Host First Fixture at Partially Completed Camp Nou over the weekend

Barcelona have announced they are set to host at the still-under-construction Camp Nou over the weekend. The club will host the Bilbao team in domestic competition two and a half years following their departure to allow renovations to start.

“Returning home was our dream. Finally, it’s happening. We are back at Spotify Camp Nou.”

Not all seats will be available but 45,401 spectators are permitted inside as per the current authorization. Once fully finished, the Camp Nou is due to hold almost 105,000 spectators, up from the previous 99,000. The club said recent additions comprise an updated entryway for the team plus modern locker rooms.

Recent Activities

The club conducted an open training session inside the stadium in early November. They mentioned approval is being pursued from European football’s governing body for their upcoming Champions League fixture against Eintracht Frankfurt next month at Camp Nou. Previous fixtures took place at the Olympic Stadium.
